Zimbabwe included Evans, Ngarava for Afghanistan Test Matches

Brad Evans right arm fast baller has been included to Zimbabwe’s Test squad for the upcoming one-off Test match against Afghanistan which to be played this month. The all-rounder’s inclusion follows a stretch of excellent form, most notably his contributions in helping Zimbabwe secure qualification for the 2026 T20 World Cup. If we look at the past stats then Evans has played only one Test match which to be against West Indies in 2023.

Apart of Evans, Richard Ngarava is also the other name who are included in the squad. The squad features two exciting uncapped players: Antum Naqvi, who recently qualified to represent Zimbabwe, and Tinotenda Maposa.

One of the Major issue of the zimbabwe as veteran Sean Williams will continue to miss out. He was withdrawn from the T20 World Cup qualifiers due to personal reasons. Several players from the previous squad have been left out: Trevor Gwandu, Newman Nyamhuri, Clive Madande, and Vincent Masekesa.

As expected, Craig Ervine will captain the side for the match, which begins on October 20 in Harare.
