Yle, MTV to Broadcast the 2022 Fifa World cup live in Finland

Countdown for the Fifa World cup 2022 All ready starts. For that Publish Service Broadcaster Yle and MTV share the Broadcasting rights to telecast the Qatar World cup All 64 Matches live in Finland. With this deals all the Finnish Viewers can able to watch the Each and every game of the 2022 World cup Tournament on Free to air terrestrial television.

As per Agreement with both Network, Yle will broadcast 42 matches — including the opening game and the final — while Remaining 22 Games to be shown by MTV of the world cup tournament.

all games will be available to view afterwards on the viewing platforms of both broadcasters, meaning matches shown live on MTV can also be viewed later on Yle Areena.

“The most important thing for us at Yle is to ensure that significant sporting events are freely available to all people living in Finland,” Panu Pokkinen, Director of Yle’s Sports and Events unit, said. “There is increasing competition for sports broadcasting rights. Using these new types of partnerships, we ensure both responsible use of money and survival in the intensifying marketplace.”

Apart of the Current Qatar World cup 2022, both Yle and MTV agreed to jointly broadcast next 2026 Fifa world cup too.

“It is great that the previously agreed collaboration for the 2026 World Cup will remain in place and that cooperation between MTV and Yle will begin for the 2022 World Cup,” MTV’s CEO Johannes Leppänen said.

If we look at the past stats for this channel then in 2018 Men’s Fifa world cup Tournament Final reach a huge viewership of 3.9 Millions on Yle Television.
