We can not make official predictions on what will happen in March Madness until the brackets get released. As of right now, different analysts on different websites are coming up with different kinds of brackets and seedings. Match-ups in the NCAA Tournament matter because that is where upsets can potentially brew early on.
Once the brackets get released, it will be much easier to finally make our March Madness Predictions. They are still being made by people now by betting on future odds to win the 2022 NCAAM National Title. There are a lot of contenders this year, and it isn’t just a two-team race with Gonzaga and Baylor like it was a year ago.
Who should we bet on to win it all, who should we stay away from, and which teams should we take a chance on to potentially win it all this year?
Teams To Bet On
Only a few teams should be bet on to win this year’s national title. Even though it is a wide-open pool, there are only like five to six legitimate teams that have a chance to win it all in March Madness.
Gonzaga +900 is one of the teams with a great chance to win it all. They are due sooner or later to cut down the nets. The Bulldogs are very well in line to get the number one overall seed for the second consecutive season.
All they do is beat everyone in their path, even though they have only lost two games this year. Gonzaga is a well-oiled machine that no one wants to play in March, especially if you are a lower seed.
Baylor +1000 will probably be either a very dangerous number two or three seed in the NCAA Tournament. They still have a chance at the number one seed, but the Bears have lost some games due to blowouts this year.
They are still the defending champions. Baylor is a very athletic bunch, and Scott Drew will have his players ready to go come March.
Villanova +1400 is a team we should not sleep on. They are currently ranked as a five seed by some analysts, but if they win the Big East Tournament, the Wildcats have to move up to the number three or number two line.
Colin Gillespie is one of those players that will take over an NCAA Tournament for Jay Wright’s squad. They have won the National Title twice in the past five years. Villanova is primed for another championship run.
Teams To Stay Away From
Duke +2000 will be either a boom or bust team in the NCAA Tournament. The ACC is on a down year, and it doesn’t even feel like they are dominating it, even though they’ll probably be a two-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils could potentially be out in the Round of 32 if they draw the wrong seventh or 10th seed.
Illinois +2000 is a team that could be on upset alert in their first game of the NCAA Tournament. They are one of the better teams in the BIG10 and were a number one seed last year, but will either be a three, four, or five seed this year. If the Fighting Illini gets a mid-major team that can shoot the basketball in the first game, watch out.
Kentucky +2000 is a team that will win a couple of games in the NCAA Tournament, but their ceiling is either the Sweet 16 or the Elite 8. They have not been to the Final Four since 2015, and the Wildcats won’t probably get there this year.
As of right now, Kentucky is a number one seed, but they drop no lower to a two or three seed.
Teams We Should Take a Chance On
UCLA +2000, Purdue +2600, and Auburn +4000.
