India Hockey team who make history in Olympics by collecting eight gold medal trophy from 1928-1980 team ready to perform in Commonwealth games events too.
Hockey is along the sports contested for the 2022 Commonwealth games at Birmingham and for that India Hockey team Announced Both Men’s & Women’s Squad.
As per Fixtures Field Hockey tournament are schedule to take place between 29 july to 8 August 2022.
If we look at the history then both category of Men’s and Women’s in Hockey events won a four medals at the commonwealth games so far. Womens team who bring first gold in hockey in 2002 while Men’s team won back to back silver medal in 2010 and 2014.
Recently India Men’s hockey team win a bronze medal in Tokyo games while Womens team narrowly missed out podium to finish the olympic campaign with four place.
Manpreet Singh Who captain of the Olympics at Tokyo for India carry to lead the TEam once again in the 2022 Commonwealth games at Birmingham while Vice Captain job given to Harmanpreet Singh.
India team is grouped in Pool B with England, Wales, Ghana and Canada.
Due to Rani Rampal out of the tournament with inujury, Savita Punia captaining in the Commonwealth games.
