Rebecca Andrade will compete in the Artistic gymnastics events at the Pan American Games 2023

The 2023 Pan American Games will feature reigning world all-around champion Rebeca Andrade of Brazil.

In 2023, the superstar gymnast, who won gold in vault and silver in all-around at the Tokyo 2020 Games, appears to be planning a busy second half of the year, including competitions at the Brazilian national championships in August, the World Championships in September, and the Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile in October.

In Chile, Andrade will make her Pan American Games debut despite being a two-time Olympian.

“The expectations [for the Pan Am Games] are very high,” said Andrade in a video from Santiago 2023. “I did the opposite: first I went to the Olympic Games, then to a World Championships, and now I’m going to participate in my first Pan American Games. It’s going to be sensational.”

For artistic gymnastics, Santiago is a Paris 2024 qualifier, but the majority of quota spots will be available at the 2023 Worlds in Belgium.
