A team competition between the U.S. and Europe is known as the Ryder Cup.

Two of the last three events have been won by the United States.

Zach Johnson (U.S.) and Luke Donald (Europe) will lead their respective team of Ryder Cup in 2023 at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Italy.

Team USA has won two of the last three Ryder Cups, including a 19-9 win over Team Europe at Whistling Straits in 2021. As of mid-September, they have Ryder Cup odds of -120.

While the United States has a 27-14-2 record, Europe has won nine of the last 13 editions.

Until 1971, the Ryder Cup was contested by the United States and Great Britain, then it included Great Britain and Ireland for four events, and starting in 1979, it included all of Europe.
