In addition to their three Intercontinental Cup victories, which served as the precursor to the Club World Cup, Real has won eight global titles.
With goals from Karim Benzema and doubles from Federico Valverde and Vinicius Jr., Real Madrid beat Saudi Arabia.
For the fifth time in a row, Arabia’s Al Hilal won the Club World Cup on Saturday.
In the Prince Moulay Abdallah stadium, Real never looked like giving up control despite conceding three goals, including two by Luciano Vietto.
A flurry of goals from the European Champions delighted the raucous Moroccan crowd in the 13th minute.
After Benzema passed the ball to Valverde, Vinicius ghosted in behind the defense to score from close range.
Valverde increased Real’s lead five minutes later, but Al Hilal responded with a counterattack goal from Moussa Marega.

As Real controlled the pace and held nearly 70% possession, Marega and Vietto caused trouble one-on-one against Antonio Rudiger and Eduardo Camavinga.
In defense, they were repeatedly exposed. Vinicius took center stage after the break, showing off his skills against the shaky Al Hilal defense.
Real’s third goal came from Benzema’s brilliant cross in the 54th minute, and Valverde doubled Real’s lead with a close-range strike.
Within five minutes, Al Hilal’s Vietto scored again from a counter, reducing the deficit. Vinicius scored again for Real in the 69th with a neat finish after playing the ball through the legs of a defender.
To cap off a high-scoring game that delighted Moroccan fans, Vietto scored his second goal.
As a result of their three Intercontinental Cup victories, Real has won eight global titles, which served as a forerunner to the Club World Cup, which pitted European and South American champions against each other.
AC Milan and Bayern Munich are the next most successful teams, each with four titles.
“We are overjoyed. “Real Madrid is World Champion for the eighth time,” manager Carlo Ancelotti told Telecinco.
